Headsted, leading innovators of online psychological therapy solutions, have launched two of their acclaimed programmes for the benefit of the population of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). This clear demonstration of Headsted’s global ambition adds to already impressive achievements realised within Care IQ’s Launch IQ commercialisation catapult.
The launch forms the core of a new Psychological Wellness Initiative in the Caribbean state, which is provided in partnership with SVG’s Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment and the US-based university Trinity School of Medicine.
Headsted is gaining global recognition, generating considerable interest in accessible, effective and evidence driven e-therapies, based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT, often referred to as third wave Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), is now breaking through to help those who live with a range of psychological challenges including anxiety, low mood, workplace stress, sleep disturbance and weight management.
The two programmes Headsted will provide In SVG are:
- Hold Your Nerve – an online ACT-based course supporting people suffering with anxiety
- Value Your Self – an online ACT-based course supporting people with low mood issues
Kirsikka Kaipainen, Headsted’s CEO, commented, “We are delighted to be offering our services to the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines. Our relationship with Care IQ has provided us with remarkable growth in the number of people benefiting from our ACT programmes. The future is very exciting!”
Care IQ partners have worked intensively with the Headsted team and with the other Launch IQ stakeholders to develop a commercial and academic focus, with energy and rigour. This has ensured tremendous progress in a short timeframe, marked by a rapid succession of milestones including the current delivery of five online ACT programmes in the UK and Nordics.
Koen Smets, Care IQ’s Director of Pathway Integration, said: “Our collaboration with Headsted has been – and continues to be – superb. What we achieved together in SVG is a magnificent example of Care IQ’s ambition: transforming the delivery of care by ensuring great ideas are put into practice.”
